Nearest echoes and better groups

Our weekly dose of new features:

Nearest echoes

At the echo page, now instead of showing other echoes by the same user we are now showing the nearest echoes. We feel it is more appropriate and helpful, specially if you are interested in exploring that specific location.



More things. Now you can select your preferred measure units (km or mi) in your settings.


Better groups

Groups pages have been improved too. Now, both echoes and walks are in the same column (items) and forum topics are more visible (people complained they fell to the bottom and sometimes they miss them)


Many minor-improvement have added too. Thanks, as every week, for your feedback.

Woices interface now available in catalan

So far, woices interface was only available in english and spanish, but we'd like to keep adding as many languages as possible so we can reach more ecoers. If you feel like helping us, please get in touch! :-)

Edit your comments and tag your groups!

This week we are happy to introduce two 2 new features:

Editable comments: Now you can edit your own comments. As easy as as clicking on it...

...and save the changes:


Group tags: Now it is possible to tag groups to better describe them and help other users to find them through the search engine.

Unscheduled downtime

Today we've experienced our first woices unscheduled downtime at 20:24 UTC. For about 34 minutes the service was unavailable. We've fixed this problem asap and the service now runs smoothly.

This week features

Hi all echoers, this week we are activating the the following new features:

Language ranking: At the community tab now we show the most active languages at the echosphere. Its nice to see the echosphere expand to new languages. We do love diversity!



Comment notifications: Now, if someone writes a comment to your echo, you will be notified via email. Your can activate/deactivate this feature in your settings.



Moderate your echo comments!: You can now moderate all your echo comments. Every echo owner have the right to delete any comment he/she regards as inappropriate.



Group type change: If you are a group admin, now you have the option to change the group type:

public => public with invitation
public with invitation => public
